Wedding Photography | Castle Menzies | Rosalind and Craig | 25th June 2011
As the pace of the 2011 wedding season beings to pick up I've been forced to ignore the blog recently, which is a shame as it allows me to freshen my online material quickly and easily. In an effort to redress this I've a few new weddings which I'm uploading over the next couple of weeks.
The first is Rosalind and Craig's wedding from last weekend. It was the first wedding this year I've shot up in Perthshire, which is a bit of a shame as I love this part of Scotland. An early start from Glasgow got me to Rosalind's for some chilled preparation coverage before heading back through the lovely countryside around Aberfeldy to the church in Weem. From here it was a short walk in the afternoon sun to Castle Menzies for a very relaxed and informal reception.
Here's the first draft of the day:

Wedding Photography | Pollok House | Catherine and Simon | 16th June 2011
It's always nice to shoot a wedding at a local wedding venue and for me they don't come much closer to home than the fantastic Pollok House in the southside of Glasgow. It's a venue I usually get to shoot at a couple of times a year and I never get tired working there. It's got so much going for it in terms of the usable space from the rooms adorned with original art work to the fabulous gardens and grounds.
Catherine and Simon booked me to shoot a very short day so I made an early appearance at Pollok House to document some of the wedding details before the guests arrived. During the very informal service and champagne the weather turned very wet so instead of making use of the garden guests meandered through the house on a guided tour of the art work before heading for dinner.
Here is a small selection of the day:
